i remember pleated skirts

i have been listening to this song on repeat.
anabelle showed it to me.
it is written from the persepective of an old man, who loves his wife so deeply.
he remarks on their old age and how the years have been kind to them.
i often wonder what i’ll look like when i’m older.
to look back at photos of when i was young, and struggle to recognise the girl in the pictures.
i’m excited to live… to keep going until i reach an age where i have learnt so much, and gone so far.
right now i have my whole life in front of me. time will slip so quickly that soon, it will be behind me.
sure the decrease will be sad… seeing myself slowly wither away.
but in a way i guess i still look forward to it…
